Epworth UMC Children's Ministries
The children's ministries at Epworth United Methodist Church have always been a high priority for our congregation. Our children are our future, and they are a big part of why Epworth is "Alive". The youth and young adults of today's church were yesterday's children and are continuing as a vital force in the church today. The range of opportunities for childen and their parents is wide-ranging. The program has always depended upon parent participation, in coordination with church staff leadership, to achieve its goals.
Children's Ministries - Coming Up
March 20 - Field Day - Children will compete in a variety of physical challenges (i.e., baskets made or laps run) around Epworth's campus in order to raise money for the Bahamas Mission Team by being sponsored by all the grown-ups who love them. It will take place the same times as the Yard Sale, Silent Auction and Pit Beef Sale, 9am-2pm - so you can stop by both, come and go as you please! Contact Audra to volunteer or to find a child to sponsor.
Epworth Children's Center
The Epworth Children's Center has been a fixture in the Cockeysville community.
The Center is a service of Epworth United Methodist Church to offer all children a safe, loving and caring environment. The children build upon their strengths while also learning and growing through new experiences. Through the Houghton Mifflin Curriculum in the Four Year Old Class, the children learn phonics, literature, math, science and social studies. Thematical units, letter and number recognition are part of the curriculum in the Two and Three Year Old Classess. We also offer Dance, Religion, and Rebounders (gymnastics) in the morning.
If you are interested in your child becoming part of the Children's Center, contact the director, Debbie Shafer.
